I am on contract with Jazz at Lincoln Center working on a not-for-profit project about the regional diversity in the following of live jazz performance - both large and small groups and venues. Here are some of my favorite frames from last night's concert at the Sandler Center in Virginia Beach.
Gabriel and I were down at the beach right after Christmas on that weird warm 75 degree day, and he had to play in the water. Here's one for now - on the coldest day of the year - I'll add a few more later...
I have a very musical background, so when I found this video I about flipped out because this happens to be one of the first stringed instruments I ever owned - the Russian Balalaika. Aleksei is incredible, and for all you bluegrass musicians and lovers out there, be blown out of your gourd...
Gabriel has been a little under the weather the last couple days. We made him some chicken soup, and played at the park. He's a happy boy. Here's a set of three black and whites.
Mac & Ted, I had such an awesome time at your wedding - your families partied so hard. My favorite part was the many different toasts; your families and friends are incredibly well spoken. Congratulations and best wishes.
I have tons of photos from Christmas and a wedding to post, but I wanted to throw this set from last night in now. We visited our good friends Brittney and Tim last night for dinner and got to meet their new baby boy, Britton. I love the last photo with his head in your hands. He is beautiful - Congratulations you guys.
