What's for Dinner?

I have to turn you guys onto a fantastic blog I've followed for a while about food foraging and living off the land. Fat of the Land is the brain child of Langdon Cook of Seattle, WA.  He is a self professed outdoorsman, foodie, and forager.  The tales of finding edible ingredients and turning them into something quite amazing are both intriguing and inspiring.  I made this dish last night based on a very simple recipe from this blog post: drunken midgets loose on flats.  While I didn't forage for the clams or other ingredients, I will be looking to my family's large garden this summer and to the ocean/bay for much of what we eat whenever possible.  Now...off to the sand flats at the Lynnhaven Inlet...

Katie's Dress...1890's...and one that's a little more current : )

Katie is getting married in the next two weeks, and I photographed her in both the family wedding gown, and her actual wedding dress. 10 women have been married in this beautiful dress crafted in the late 1800's, and I am honored to be the photographer whose work will become a special part of their family book of great women wearing a very unique piece of family history.

My Baby Helen, Video

This is a quick compilation of videos of my beautiful daughter, Helen. I haven'd graded it, just imported, strung together and added audio in imovie. I should take this into FCP and really work it.

Erin & Mike Engagement

I am very excited to photograph for Erin and Mike. Erin and I knew each other from high school - and she knew Mike from high school! It's great to come back into friendship. I had a great time at the gardens, and the weather was great. I always find something different when I photograph there. I really love the place. Here are a few...

Christine's Bridals

Here are three of my favorites from the lovely Christine's Bridal session. She has a certain radiance about her that comes through in photos, not to mention her great smile! I can't wait to photograph your's and Charlie's wedding!

Jamie Oliver's TED wish

Incredible. Makes you really think about what goes into the mouths of our children. I love Jamie Oliver, and use many of his recipes in my everyday family cooking. This TED talk needs to be spread and needs to take hold in the school systems of America. See how you feel after watching...
