Amy, Chris, your wedding was beautiful and a great party to boot. I hope you two are doing very well and I wish you the very best in a long happy life together. Chris is an instructor at Hot Yoga in Norfolk, and I know I'll have to take a class someday...sooner than later...maybe a little later... talk me into it man.
I met Audrey and Marc in Colonial Williamsburg where we photographed their engagement session. They first met in a pub called the Green Leaf right on the campus of William and Mary. The last shot is from the pub where we grabbed a bite to eat - the fish and chips were killer. I had a great time guys.
This clip of a horse race shot by photographer Dan Chung is a testament to how much potential there is in the new dslr's from Canon. The video was shot at 60fps on Canon's new camera, and slowed down to 23.93fps. The possibilities are limitless with video becoming a prominent medium for work in the industry. With print publications moving to online solutions and camera technology becoming more hybrid than ever, video as well as still production is the future.
In the coming year, I'll be putting that technology to the test creating a new product line. I look forward to development and I look forward to the possibilities... More to come...
After a month off from blogging, I'm back with several new things in mind, numerous weddings and sessions to post, and some ideas about making this a bit more interactive. In the meantime, for all you short film junkies, here is a link to a great introduction to the Nikon Festival - short film festival where the winner stands to profit 100K for a 140 second film about their day. The link takes you to the blog of commercial photographer Chase Jarvis who is one of the judges for the Nikon festival along with Rainn Wilson and a few others.
I had the pleasure of photographing Erin and Kevin's outstanding wedding. You two are a beautiful couple, and I wish both of you the very best! Here are a few of my favorites...
